Porsche Panamera

A sports car with 4 doors – nonsense or the wind of change in the market? Porsche Panamera of the 2016 production year gives the answer: a supercar in the shape of the sedan and performance of a daredevil. It sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? Let’s scuttle the suspense by reviewing Porsche Panamera in details.

Key Features

New Panamera is a 4-door 4-seater sedan with a body much like a hatchback. It features 197.4x76x55.8 inches dimensions (l/w/h), including 115 inches wheelbase & 5.7 inches clearance index. The chassis boasts a backwards sliding moonroof, LED headlights, muscular side panels, a wide windshield, an enlarged boot lid as well as an electrically deploying spoiler.

Inside, the cabin speaks refinement. Seating position is low, although it doesn’t bother the occupants to get in/out. The room is adequate for the driver and a front passenger to stretch legs and feel relaxed; at the same time, rear passengers are a wee bit limited in space on twin seats: front head/leg/shoulder room – 38x41.9x51.9 inches, rear head/leg/shoulder room – 38.2x33.3x51.7 inches. Upon the whole, all seats offer appropriate support and a range of adjustments.

The cockpit and dashboard are packed with about 80 control switches & buttons. They are responsible for easy use of infotainment facilities. Managing of multimedia is also possible thanks to a center-mounted 7-inch display and a driver’s information computer.

Hatch-like boot lid with thick pillars deteriorates rear visibility. Yet, the trunk itself allows swallowing up to 15.7 c.f. of luggage behind the rear seats; if necessary, the latter might be folded flat to get 44.6 c.f. of space (note that various modifications provide for different boot capacity).

List of Available Engines

The 2015-2016 Porsche Panamera is shipped in multiple trims. There is little wonder that the choice of powertrains is huge. - 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8: 570 hp at 6000 RPM, 553 lb-ft of torque at 5000 RPM, fuel economy – 15 mpg (city), 24 mpg (highway), 0-60 mph distance – 3.6 seconds.
